If I knew then what I know now!

Hey Pretty!

I still can't believe it has been 5 years since I said yes to being a biz owner.

I mentioned that I would share more about my journey. So…. I decided to share with you a few things I wish I had known/done a bit sooner in my biz to maybe spare you from doing the same.

1 - Hired a bookkeeper from day 1 - I made mistakes, took too much time working outside of my zone of genius, and it drained me. My girl Anna was a Godsend and I wish it wouldn't have taken four and half years to hire her. (Do yourself a favor and invest in a bookkeeper!)

2 - Hiring friends can be tricky - Working and building your dream alongside your bestie can be a dream, but it was a nightmare for me.

Be cautious about blending personal and professional relationships.

3- Get clear on your boundaries - Make sure you have a life and business that energizes you rather than depletes you. Lack of boundaries can lead to burnout, frustration, and wanting to just quit.

Ain't nobody got time for that. haha

4- Hire a coach - It took me about three years too long to do this. Hiring a coach opened me up to expansion. I had consistent support, accountability, and someone to challenge me to step into my purpose. Plus, what took my coaches years to learn they were able to simplify and teach me more efficiently.

5- Pay myself $ - I went years and years justifying not paying myself because I still had a full-time job. I am all for investing back into your business but let me tell you that paying yourself even if it's $50.00 a week makes a world of difference in your energy and the way you show up in your business. Please for the sake of those who are counting on what you bring into the world pay yourself.

To be honest, I could have kept writing for hours, but no one has time for that.

After reading a few of these what is an area(s) that you know you should be taking action on? I would love to respond and chat about it.
